"CONNECT is a European Union initiative focused on strengthening support for migrant entrepreneurs and building more inclusive economic ecosystems across North-West Europe. Coordinated by the Institute for Work and Technology (IAT), the 36-month project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg North-West Europe program. While migrant entrepreneurs start businesses at higher rates than the national population, many face barriers that limit their growth, including fragmented support systems, restricted access to finance, and structural discrimination. As a result, regions, particularly those experiencing population decline, miss out on opportunities for innovation, job creation, and local development. CONNECT responds by shifting from isolated start-up support to a more coordinated, ecosystem-based approach. It aims to better align local and regional support systems with the needs of migrant-owned businesses across participating regions, including Île-de-France, Bremen, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Flanders, Wallonia, Northern and Western Ireland, South Holland, and Overijssel. Through mapping, comparative analysis, and transnational collaboration, the project will produce a Joint Strategy for Inclusive Migrant Entrepreneurship Support in North-West Europe, strengthening the role of migrant-owned businesses in driving employment, innovation, and social cohesion."

"The Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation is a beneficiary of the Swedish Postcode Lottery and provides support to projects that foster positive social impact or search for long-term solutions to global challenges. Since 2007, the foundation has distributed over one billion SEK in support of more than 500 projects in Sweden and internationally. The Swedish Postcode Foundation joined forces with WPDI in 2014 and supports peacebuilding and entrepreneurship programs in Mexico, South Sudan and Uganda."
